This project is a lighting optimization case for the HENNISSY Window showroom. The original scheme relied heavily on track spotlights, resulting in a lack of hierarchy and atmosphere. Guided by the belief that lighting should be more than a functional tool—but an elegant piece of furniture art—we redefined lighting layers and heights to elevate both spatial aesthetics and emotional experience.
As a lifestyle-oriented showroom, HENNISSY Window aims to convey not only product clarity but also the warmth and emotion of “home.” While the original lighting met basic illumination needs, it failed to support the desired spatial elegance and brand identity—calling for a comprehensive lighting upgrade.
Design Concept
Lighting as an elegant piece of furniture art, not just illumination
Clear lighting hierarchy to enhance spatial and object aesthetics
Balancing function and emotion to elevate interior quality
Creating romantic, warm, and layered lighting without glare
Rest Area:
Original Scheme:The rest area relied entirely on track spotlights, producing harsh lighting with no atmospheric layering. The space felt more like a display zone than a place for relaxation, failing to express a refined residential ambiance.
Optimized Solution:By introducing softer, layered lighting, the rest area now supports both movie watching and reading. The atmosphere shifts toward warmth and romance, transforming the space into an emotional retreat. The concept of “Pearl: Bringing Love Back Home” is fully realized through light.
Reception Hall
Original Scheme:The reception hall used only spotlights, resulting in flat lighting with no hierarchy. Displayed objects lacked visual emphasis, and the space felt visually unfocused.
Optimized Solution:Lighting heights and angles were recalibrated according to spatial dimensions and display needs. Light now precisely highlights objects, enhancing material texture, proportion, and detail—allowing each piece to truly stand out.
Tea Room
Original Scheme:The tea room relied heavily on track lighting, lacking hierarchy and subtlety. The direct lighting failed to convey the calm, layered atmosphere expected of a tea space or to highlight displayed objects.
Optimized Solution:Lighting heights and focal points were redesigned to suit the tea room’s scale. While accent lighting highlights objects and scenes, glare is carefully controlled—adding a soft, flattering “filter” to both people and objects.
The HENNISSY Window lighting optimization proves that refinement comes not from adding more lights, but from precise, thoughtful lighting design. Truly premium lighting invites people to linger and allows objects to be seen with elegance and care.
