▲ Mr. Chunyan Huang , the founder of the GUOCIO brand, attended the 2024 MAISON&OBJET Fall Edition in Paris. The original home lighting series [Element/Lamp] was created in collaboration between Mr. Mingbin Yang , the principal of Shuohan Creative Research, and Hong Kong GUOCIO Lighting Technology Manufacturing. GUOCIO is a partner of international brands such as Louis Poulsen, DCW Editions, Karakter, and GUBI. With internationally certified manufacturing facilities and a design and research team with a global vision, [Element/Lamp] products have achieved the expected quality and realized their design concept.

During the prototyping phase, what seemed like a minimalist design concealed a complex structural process. First, we addressed the challenge of creating products for both table and wall lamps using the same modular components and structure, suitable for different usage scenarios. Second, we solved the issue of allowing the light source to be positioned freely, with nearly 360-degree rotation both vertically and horizontally. Throughout the process, the designer's concept sparked the imagination of the engineers, who continuously tested various connection components to ensure the rotation mechanism remained stable during extended use, expanding the engineers' thinking in traditional manufacturing.

The product's exquisite coloring, sophisticated mechanical components, and seamless design without visible screws or wires showcase the GUOCIO team's exceptional ability to bring design concepts to life. By addressing structural and technical challenges through design-driven solutions, the product not only fulfills its basic function but also provides emotional value to the user, making life more enjoyable.
